Alien Robot Space Dude Pendant

This one is a bit of a departure for me, but I had to create this alien from this stone. Sometimes and idea just calls out to you.

This Alien Robot Dude decided to be a pendant the minute I saw the Ocean Jasper stone that forms his cyclopsian head. His body gemstone is a rare Gem Silica Chrysocolla cabochon. His feet are green chrysocolla stones. He is one of a kind, made from hand forged Sterling silver with 14K gold antenna (Bale) and gold hand balls. He was a delight to create, and he can't wait to settle into his new earthly home. 18.57mm x 63.42mm

Sea Worthy Rocks! Is that possible?

The latest in my continuing series of cabochons. Ocean Jasper is a trade name for Orbicular Jasper. Ocean Jasper has distinctive patterns of round or spherical inclusions of contrasting colors floating on solid jasper. The background may be white, pink, green or yellow. Ocean Jasper is mined off the ocean coast of Madagascar at low tide.

I love this material. It finishes with such a great polish, and the variety of colors and patterns is amazing. http://www.gemalchemy.com/pages1/oceanjasper.html

Man in the Moon Necklace, Ocean Jasper and Sterling Silver

I previewed this piece recently at Creating the Hive as a work in progress. It's finished now, and I'm pretty pleased with the result.

Man in the Moon Necklace, featuring a very unique Ocean Jasper cabochon and Sterling silver moon complete with craters and a star filled sky. Chain is hand made sterling silver 23" long.

When I cut this stone I knew immediately what it would be. It has a bubbled druzy edge forming the moon's nose. One of the orbs in the ocean jasper forms the man in the moon's eye. To call this piece one of a kind is quite an understatement. Posted on Etsy & Artfire.
